One school is only allowed to submit one (1) entry.
The champion school from 2024 may participate in the current year, but the presenters must not be members of the team that won.
Each team comprises of three (3) main members
Submissions must include presentations from all the registered members of the team

Only registered members will be eligible for NICTSeD 2025.

Upon qualification for NICTSeD 2025, only the three (3) registered team members will be invited to participate in the national level discourse

In the event that one (1) team member is unable to attend the national level competition, the team may continue to participate with the remaining two (2) members.

Team members can be any student from Form 1 to Form 5, from the same school.

The qualifying team is NOT allowed to change the registered team members.

State level competition

State selection panels are responsible to select representatives for their state finalists.
State finalists will discourse at a state level competition to secure their place in NICTSeD Octofinals
States which FAIL to conduct a state level competition will forfeit their place in NICTSeD Octofinals

If the selected school(s) withdraw, the school with the next highest score will represent.

Any withdrawal must be with an official letter from the principal.

The selected school MUST confirm the participation within 7 days once the results are announced.
The title for the qualifying submission is:

Submission must be in the form of:

Video
Link to the uploaded video in YouTube
Video presentation: Maximum five (5) minutes.
Each of the three (3) members of the team MUST speak for at least one (1) minute.
Voiceovers are discouraged.
Teams are required to set the Privacy option of the video to "UNLISTED" prior to uploading the video on YouTube.
The video must be named as follows: SCHOOLCODE_SCHOOLNAME_NICTSED2025

Submission starts from 12.00 am on 14th APRIL 2025 until 11.59 pm on 4th MAY 2025. All submissions after the deadline will be disqualified.
Submissions must be made through respective link nictsed.cybersafe.my/registration
Submission MUST be original, copyrighted materials are PROHIBITED.
Note: teams are reminded that

The content of their submission carries a 50% weight in the selection process.
Clarity and use of language in presentation is important; 40% weightage in the selection process
Technicalities; 10% weightage in the selection process

Jurors’ decision is FINAL. No appeal will be entertained.
The teams which qualify for NICTSeD 2024 will be announced through CyberSAFE™ Social Media on 27th JUNE 2025.
Qualified teams will be contacted through a formal invitation letter.
Qualified teams will compete in NICTSeD 2025 as follows

Octo-Finals (online): 5 – 7 August 2025
Quarter Finals (online): 12 August 2025
Semi Finals and Grand Final (face to face) are tentatively scheduled for September 2025 in Penang and Kuala Lumpur respectively.

By participating in the Qualifying Round, the team agrees to our terms and conditions.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the terms and conditions for this competition without prior notice.
CyberSecurity Malaysia and MOE reserve the right to use any or all materials information presented during the discourse.
